*Essence of Spring* Fully Hand-Embroidered Tassel Spring Couplet, Spring Blossom Wreath, New Year's Gift

The client desired a "timeless" and auspicious Spring Couplet, allowing me creative freedom. I imagined this piece being a cherished keepsake from LDV, treasured in their home for years to come. ☺️ I've affectionately included a variety of spring blossoms, artfully arranged on rattan. Peonies, wintersweet, narcissus, and pussy willows are strung together, forming a wreath brimming with the essence of spring—a perfect complement to the recipient's graceful beauty. 🥰 In contrast to traditional fresh flowers that eventually fade, this embroidered wreath transforms beautiful blossoms into a Spring Couplet, meticulously stitched onto fabric. These vibrant spring flowers are designed to remain a cherished part of your home decor indefinitely. For this piece, I've utilized variations in thread color, strand count, and stitching techniques to capture the unique posture of each flower. The resilient branches and fluffy blossoms of the pussy willow are rendered with a solid six-strand thread. The peonies, also with six strands, transition from delicate, dense petals to form soft yet grand spring blooms. The elegance of the wintersweet is achieved with two to three strands, while the distinctive appearance of the narcissus is mimicked using a single-sided couching stitch to emulate its corona.
