This is an SDGs jewelry piece featuring Kintsugi, upcycling Arita ware.
Broken or chipped pottery, no longer in use, is upcycled and meticulously repaired with Kintsugi to be transformed into accessories.
The concept behind these creations is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future, thereby creating new possibilities.
Delicate fragments, subtly revealing a leaf pattern, are paired with lapis lazuli and freshwater pearls.
Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery shards, allowing the gleam of gold to be admired from every angle, adding an elegant touch.
The ring size is 17mm (generally considered size 13, though this can vary by brand), but it features an adjuster, allowing for expansion and ensuring a comfortable fit for anyone.
Size of pottery fragment and natural stone motif: 18 x 14mm
Metal fittings: 304 Stainless Steel with 18K gold plating
Weight: Despite being made of pottery, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.◎
Each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind accessory, making it an ideal choice for gifts.
Perfect for presenting to someone special.

*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair technique that mends broken or chipped pottery and porcelain using lacquer and gold powder. This artwork utilizes a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi using natural tree sap lacquer, this process incorporates adhesive for structural integrity.
The Kintsugi areas are created using lacquer paint (a product made by a manufacturer, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
