|The Origin of Curatorial|(Becoming Other Than Human - Special Exhibition of Taiwanese Animal Literature)
Animals, in human literature, are never present. Myths, poems, novels, essays, fairy tales... all have totem images of animals, portrayals of life, interactive emotions, and even anthropomorphic everything. These generic animal literatures contain the entanglement of the relationship between humans and "other than humans" terrestrial creatures.
The long history of Taiwanese literature is, of course, not lacking in animal themes. The aboriginal people have the spirit of animals that move mountains and seas, the classical Chinese poetry has the unique traces of deer's hoofs and birds in the island country, and the Japanese-ruled novels have toiling calves and horses. In the depths of modernist literary consciousness, one can see the primitive animal nature of human beings and the urban environment from animals. Literature is often accompanied by cats and dogs, and contemporary natural writing has changed the topic and began to reflect on the expansion of human civilization. . . .
Animals do not use words, but humans have come forward to write them, enriching the diversity of physical and life experiences with "animal literature". There is a poetic saying in the Book of Job, "Ask the beasts, and they will teach you, and ask the birds in the air, and the birds will tell you." Wisdom, therefore, must be something other than man.

|Design|
Starting from the animals in the exhibition, I selected five animals, "killer whale, clouded leopard, black bear, dog, and cat" to draw. No matter the environment changes or persecution, they are always part of our life and coexistence with the warm companionship of friendship. , through the exhibition of reflection, awareness and mutual protection, I hope to bring more various connections between us and them.
