Woven with 100% silk warp and 100% cotton weft, this scarf is meticulously overdyed using natural dyes such as pomegranate peel, madder, Garcinia, Formosan tea, cochineal, indigofera, and woad. The design prioritizes the interplay of colors, while the dyeing process focuses on the evolution of shades, resulting in a sophisticated, natural color quality.
This piece showcases a dyeing technique involving segmented tie-dyeing and multiple rounds of overdying. For each color applied, the dye-resist method is used by tying sections to preserve the existing color. This process of repeated untying and re-dyeing allows for the creation of rich color variations. Although this multi-stage dyeing is labor-intensive and time-consuming, it yields unexpected and creative textile artistry.
Scarf Dimensions: Approximately 80 × 200 cm (actual dimensions may vary slightly due to measurement methods)
※ All products are dyed with natural materials. Natural pigments are influenced by factors such as growing seasons, climate, soil quality, and sunlight. Coupled with variations inherent in handmade dyeing, slight color discrepancies are unavoidable. Each batch may not perfectly replicate the original sample, but our dyers carefully adjust each piece based on their aesthetic expertise.
