Over time, exposure to air and the environment will naturally cause its luster to fade and its metallic hue to deepen. This is a normal oxidation process. * If your brass oxidizes and darkens, here are a few methods to restore its shine: - Simply wipe with a silver polishing cloth to restore luster. The cloth turning black is normal; do not wash it, as this will reduce its effectiveness. - Gently scrub with a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of dish soap or toothpaste, then wipe dry. - Wipe with a clean cloth lightly dampened with brass polish to restore the brass's shine. Afterward, rinse with a mild detergent to remove any residual polish and prevent potential skin irritation when worn. * These preserved floral accessories are crafted from real flowers and can last for over 5 years.
