Its dimensions are perfectly suited for our Maze Dripper, offering the option to purchase them as a set. The straight, cylindrical body conveys a sense of sleekness and directness, while its expansive, flat surface provides an ideal canvas for showcasing the distinct characteristics of various glazes, highlighting the unique beauty of each. The "pie kou" (flared rim), a classic cup design, has graced ceramics for centuries. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this traditional form offers enhanced functionality for comfortable sipping. The outward-sloping rim gently contours to the lips, creating a seamless experience as the beverage glides from the cup into your mouth. The "fang ba" (square handle) is another nod to traditional design. We've reinterpreted the classic square handle with a design featuring a flat top and a slanted bottom, offering a distinct visual profile. This angular handle is also exceptionally comfortable to grip. With a balanced capacity of 240ml, it's versatile for both tea and pour-over coffee bags. A thoughtful detail: a subtle crease inside the cup, approximately at the 200ml mark, serves as a simple visual guide for measuring, making its use more intuitive. This design, with its large, uninterrupted flat surface on the walls, allows our artisans greater freedom to explore and play with the glaze effects. "Wood Firing" Wood firing is one of the oldest ceramic firing methods, utilizing wood as fuel. It requires four days of firing to reach the target temperature. The ash and oils from the burning wood become the unique outer layer of each wood-fired piece, known as "luo hui" (fallen ash). The artistic value of wood firing speaks for itself. The distinctive fallen ash ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike, making uniqueness its most celebrated attribute. Thus, wood-fired creations best express the artist's personality and highlight the collector's discerning taste. Wood firing can be broadly categorized into unglazed and glazed firing. Unglazed firing involves firing the clay body directly without any glaze, revealing the most rustic texture of wood firing. Glazed firing, on the other hand, builds upon the natural ash glaze by incorporating various glaze effects, resulting in a dazzling array of finishes. Beyond its artistic merit, the natural carbon adhesion during the firing process enhances the flavor of beverages. Wood-fired vessels make both boiled water and steeped tea taste sweeter and crisper.
