Taiwanese director Yang Dechang’s "One One" has this line of dialogue: After the invention of the film, human lives have been extended at least three times longer than before.
Before the invention of the movie, our experience and understanding of death may only come to an end through funerals and our own lives. After the invention of the movie, our lives have not only been prolonged at least three times, our experience and observation of death have also been prolonged many times.
"Seven holes to bleed or seven holes to bleed and die" is Hong Kong visual artist Rex Koo's third picture book with the theme of Hong Kong films. The book is divided into two parts: ⎡Death⎦ and ⎡Bleeding⎦. It contains scenes of death and blood splashes from Hong Kong films in the 1980s and 1990s. Through the author's paintings, in addition to the various ways of death, readers can once again feel the creativity and vitality of Hong Kong films of that era.
