**Q Grader's Recommended**
"María's Flower" features premium Pacamara beans from El Salvador, cultivated by a family-led estate – a true celebration of female empowerment in coffee! The first sip reveals a delicate floral aroma, reminiscent of lilac, gracefully unfolding alongside the crisp sweetness of apple and a creamy, buttery note. The overall profile is clean and full-bodied, with a comfortable, gentle acidity that harmonizes beautifully with the sweetness, creating a warm and inviting experience.
**Origin Story**
El Salvador . MARÍA ISABEL FLORES DE MURCIA
El Salvador's specialty coffees offer a unique and captivating drinking experience, characterized by their balanced acidity and sweetness, smooth mouthfeel, and diverse flavor profiles.
"María's Flower" is named after the farm owner, María, who inherited this family farm. For the past 20 years, she has cultivated and managed it alongside her husband and children, transitioning from commercial coffee production to specialty coffee to improve their family's income. Currently, the farm primarily grows Pacamara and Bourbon varietals, with plans to introduce more diverse varietals in the future.
However, their greatest challenges lie in adapting to ever-changing weather conditions and the spread of coffee leaf rust. For María, this family farm is her anchor, and everyone works together diligently in its cultivation. Through their collaboration with Caravela and participation in the PECA program, they aim to produce high-quality AA, AAA, and ML grade coffees.
She says, "I invite roasters who purchase our coffee to visit and see the results of our work. We are proud of our coffee."
**Pacamara Varietal: A Bean Encapsulating Floral and Fruity Aromas**
The Pacamara coffee varietal is renowned for its complex and rich flavor layers, often exhibiting bright acidity with floral notes (like jasmine, lavender) and fruity notes (such as orange, berries, or peach), balanced by a sweetness reminiscent of chocolate or nuts, creating a harmonious equilibrium.
Generally, Pacamara is a natural hybrid of the Bourbon and Maragogipe varietals. Its larger bean size gives it a distinctive appearance and contributes to the even development of its flavors during roasting. It is commonly found in Central American countries like El Salvador and Honduras. If you see "Pacamara" on a menu, don't miss the chance to try it!
