Leather Introduction: Vegetable-tanned cowhide leather is a material full of transformation. Vegetable tanning is the earliest tanning method, using tanning agents extracted from plants, such as tannins. This method involves repeatedly soaking the leather in tanning solutions of varying concentrations over one to two months. Vegetable-tanned leather is free from harmful chemicals like heavy metals and can be in direct contact with skin, while retaining the leather's natural texture. Over time, with exposure to sunlight and moisture, the leather gradually develops a sheen, deepens in color, and shows unique signs of use. Some refer to this as 'leather nurturing'!
