I suggest to use light\medium blue color of fabric for this stitching (to imitate the sky which is left unstitched) (I have chosen Murano Blue Cloud / Blue Grey) I recommend 14/16 (28/32) fabric count for this pattern. SIZE: 140w X 140h Stitches 16 Count, 22.23w X 22.23h cm 14 Count, 25.40w X 25.40h cm PDF file includes pattern key for DMC floss and 4 types of pattern: black&white symbols with backstitch lines, black&white symbols without backstitch lines; symbols with color behind and solid color - both with backstitch lines This pattern has backstitching and half cross stitches (besides full cross stitches). And besides 42 basic DMC colors it also has 21 blended colors for artistic effect.  The backstitching in this pattern is quite difficult, but don't worry! You will find separate PDF file for backstitch, I hope it will be easier for you to stitch it step-by-step.
