Vintage Bavarian teacup and saucer with yellow rose design made by Oscar Schaller.
The company was founded in the year 1882 by the businessman Oscar Schaller and he used a symbol representing a stylized 'S & C' for Schaller & Co.. In 1917, the company was taken over by the Gebrüder Winterling O.H.G. in Röslau, Bavaria.
The mark at the bottom of these items was in use between 1918 and 1935. This saucer has an unusual design without the traditional centre for the foot of the cup. Considering its age, this set is in very good condition with only slight surface marks and wear due to usage. The photographs are a part of the description.
