This bracelet is made of eye-patterned silvered Roman glass, antique Bohemian beads, silvered beads, ethnic brass, and Indigo blue beads.
The long, thin beads are Roman glass, a type of glass from the Roman Empire (27 BC - 395 AD).
This is a piece of glass that was once a vessel, but was chipped and then polished to create a hole. The worn look that comes with age is incredibly beautiful (^^)
This was originally a bangle so is slightly curved.
It is decorated with an eye pattern, and because it is an excavated item, it has patina and silvering.
The bird shaped beads and the white beads covered in patina are also Roman glass.
*Small chips can be seen.
The clear, oval beads are Bohemian beads from the early 20th century.
There are scratches due to aging, but even with these it has a really great feel!
(Bohemia bead size: width 0.8cm, height 0.65cm)
The abacus-shaped transparent beads were made in Roman times and are very valuable Roman glass beads that were used as accessories such as necklaces. Roman glass is glass from the Roman Empire period (27 BC - 395 AD). You can see a beautiful, faint silvery shine.
Silvering occurs when glass is buried underground for a long period of time, causing a chemical reaction between the components of the glass and the soil, resulting in a sparkling shine. Not all glass that has been buried for a long time will silver. This phenomenon only occurs when a number of conditions are met.
Tsubutsubu beads are brass beads made by the Benin people of Africa.
It's crafted in such detail! The slight verdigris on it makes it look really cool!
The small Indigo blue and blue-gray beads are antique beads called Indo-Pacific beads. The origin of Indo-Pacific beads is said to be in the 2nd century BC. These beads were excavated in Indonesia. They date back to the 10th century, making them over 1000 years old!
The clasp is an S-hook so you can wear it either way.
This bracelet allows you to enjoy ancient glass with a variety of different atmospheres.
