What captivated me most at first sight were the coin purses crafted by a kimono artisan himself. Mr. Nakamura, a man of gentle demeanor and grace, has retired from the world of kimono making, but he continues to create coin purses designed with kimono fabrics he has cherished throughout his life. 【Premium Kimono Tsumugi Series】 The spirit of dedication poured into his craft is evident in every detail and material selection. This particular piece uses Kyoto's exquisite "Kanoko Shibori" hand-tied dyeing. Named for its resemblance to a fawn's spots, the intricate and meticulous hand-dyeing process results in completely unique patterns and colors. Consequently, these pieces are exceptionally rare, making each one a treasure to be cherished like a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Mr. Nakamura's coin purses stand apart from those made with synthetic fibers or cotton found elsewhere. Even accessories should be examined with the same discerning eye as fine jewelry. At first, I was drawn solely by its appearance, not paying much mind to the premium kimono fabric or the meticulously chosen clasp, which I took for granted. However, after bringing it home and using it, I truly understood its value. With every opening and closing, I can't help but marvel, growing more fond of it the longer I have it.
