Many factors influence ring size, including finger shape, tendency for swelling, measurement method, season, and temperature. Even with tools, a perfect fit cannot always be guaranteed. Slight looseness or tightness is common and considered normal as long as the ring doesn't fall off or cause pain. 2. When using a ring sizer, the fit should be comfortable and secure. If a size 12 is too loose and a size 11 is too tight, size 11.5 may be suitable. Finger size fluctuates with temperature due to expansion and contraction; your finger may be about half a size larger in summer than in winter. Ideally, a ring should feel slightly snug in summer and slightly loose in winter, or you can switch fingers depending on the season. If you tend to have swollen fingers, avoid measuring your ring size during periods of swelling to ensure accuracy. 3. If you do not have a measuring tool, it is recommended to visit a nearby jewelry store or pawnshop and have them measure your finger size using their tools to minimize inaccuracies. 4. You can measure the inner diameter of an old ring and compare it to a ring size chart, or provide the measurement to the designer. __The inner circumference of the old ring must be perfectly round; deformed rings are not suitable.__ Be aware that visual perception can also lead to inaccurate measurements. 5. Cut a strip of paper approximately 3mm wide. Wrap it snugly but comfortably around your finger. Mark where the paper overlaps.
