Furthermore, "Mi" (snake) sounds like "Mi" (fruit/result), implying "bearing fruit" or "achieving results," making it an auspicious character that attracts wealth. Snakes are considered symbols of "prosperity," "growth," "wisdom," and "wealth," and are believed to be effective in improving financial luck and overall fortune. These can be used not only for New Year's but also throughout the year. What is a Fūkin (Money Envelope)? A fūkin is an envelope used to present money, also known as a noshibukuro (gift envelope). It's sized to fit not only Yen but also Dollar bills and Yuan. They can also be used as regular envelopes. Besides bills, you can also include messages or small items. Though difficult to discern in photos, gold ink has been used. Printed using screen printing for a slightly retro design. The design is the same, but the color schemes differ. Slight printing misalignments or smudges occur, but this is part of the intended texture during production. Misalignments may be more pronounced in areas with multiple colors. As semi-water-soluble ink is used, colors may transfer if rubbed vigorously. Please be aware.
