Vintage Fairy Cameo 2-Way Brooch Necklace - Fairy with Flower Scepter

This lovely fairy cameo has been crafted into a versatile 2-way accessory that can be worn as both a necklace and a brooch. The cameo is made of high-quality acrylic resin. Unlike traditional shell or stone cameos where the image is carved, resin allows for incredibly intricate details that are impossible to achieve through carving alone in such a small area. It looks just like an illustration from a miniature book. The delicate artwork evokes the fairy illustrations of Cicely Mary Barker, which were once cherished as collectible cards in Japanese chocolate boxes. The fairy depicted holds a flower wand—perhaps a scepter. She bears a resemblance to Titania, the Queen of the Fairies. The pendant top alone measures 4cm x 3cm. This generous size allows you to fully enjoy the fine details of the delicate illustration. In the second image, the paper underneath is the size of a standard postcard. The third image shows the accessory placed against a near-life-size human figure for scale. The back features both a brooch pin and a bail, making it suitable for dual use. Since the bail is small, we include a necklace chain with a heart-shaped lobster clasp for easy attachment and removal. The heart-shaped clasp is adorable even if it peeks through. When wearing it as a necklace, pinning it to your clothes as well will prevent it from swaying excessively. The brooch pin is equipped with a secure rotating safety lock. For durability, both the pin and the bail are soldered and then plated, rather than simply attached with adhesive. The hardware color is gold. For your peace of mind, a silicone brooch stopper is included to prevent accidental loss.
