Brand story
Käthe Kruse's history goes back to 1904, when its founder, Katharina Simon, didn't like the dolls sold on the Berlin street, so she decided to sew the dolls to her daughter. Catalina’s nickname was "Käthe". In 1911, Käthe Kruse tried to sell the puppets he sewed at Hertie, a small department store in Berlin, which was then well known. It began to receive a warm response, and orders began to increase gradually. To this day, Käthe Kruse is still the oldest handmade doll brand in Germany. It still insists on making in Germany and Europe. It is a very collectible handmade puppet.
Käthe Kruse refused to modernize the production of large industrial industries. For 100 years, he has always insisted on manual workshops. Each doll needs 8-10 craftsmen and artists to design and produce. In the selection of materials, Käthe Kruse dolls use the best pure cotton wool fabrics, excellent wood, natural wool, and precious reindeer fur.
