The works from Xiaopingfan Pottery Studio do not pursue mass production. Each creation possesses a unique concept and design, imbuing the pieces with life through purely hand-pinching or wheel-throwing processes. Every piece is one of a kind. Our works are created together by my husband and I, which is why they are marked with "Ping" or "Fan." Some pieces also feature the "Xiaopingfan Pottery Studio" seal, making them truly unique!

**1. What is the origin of the works?**
We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Taiwanese Miaoli clay for our creations.

**2. What is the wood firing process?**
American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are blended in various proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not on a potter's wheel) to gradually form the piece. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, followed by polishing to complete the greenware.
Once placed in the kiln, the wood firing process using natural longan and acacia wood takes five days and four nights of continuous firing. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash adheres to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow between the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame marks.
After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before each piece attains its beautiful form! Due to the different kiln atmospheres during each wood firing, the ash deposits and flame patterns on every piece will differ, making each work uniquely one of a kind!

**3. What should guests be aware of?**
Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As the works are purely handmade, they will retain traces of the making process. Minor variations may also occur during the firing process. Slight irregularities in the rim or minor scratches from the making process are normal and do not affect normal use. We appreciate your understanding!
