Hermes 1980 Silk Scarf Geologie by Loïc Dubigeon. This scarf, model "Geologie," was specially commissioned for the 26th International Geological Congress held in Paris in 1980, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the IGC's establishment, and features a white matte overlay with a painted effect. In 1878, France hosted the first International Geological Congress at the Universal Exposition held in Paris that year. The decision to hold such a conference in France was made at the Exposition in Philadelphia two years prior.
