Marked Fix, a classic French heritage brand with over a century of history.
Due to its unique craftsmanship and materials (gold-filled components), items from this brand closely resemble the color of real gold. Many pieces we've collected, even those over a hundred years old, still retain their color as if new.
The cherub motif originates from the painting "Madonna di San Sisto" (Sistine Madonna), a representative work by the Italian painter Raphael. It is displayed in the Church of San Sisto in Piacenza, rebuilt in memory of Pope Sixtus I. Originally placed in the church's shrine, it remained in the Church of San Sisto until 1574, hence its name.
The last image is from a catalog published in 1911, estimating this brooch to be over 100 years old.
Material: Gold-filled.
Substantial and in very good condition.
3.2 x 1 cm.
As with all antique jewelry, please store it in a sealed bag after use.
Avoid wearing it during showers, swimming, or other water activities.
With proper care, its beauty will endure.
