Sitting idly at the station, I pay no attention to the people coming and going. When people leave, the station is empty, but it remains the same. In fact, there are many people sitting at the bus stop every day. They are not waiting for the bus, but just sitting at the station. I don’t know whether they are waiting for the person they are waiting for, or a person or thing that will never show up. This is the story of an elderly man I saw sitting at a bus stop in front of the To Kwa Wan Gas Station. I took a photo of him and drew a postcard. An original Hong Kong postcard, created by the designer using ink and watercolor. I use ink and wash to hand-paint my works.
