Later, with the gradual popularization of printing technology, the number of books printed increased, and the tradition of collecting book tickets was still preserved. In the nineteenth century, with the help of many artists and bibliophiles, the book ticket became a unique art department. Due to their small size, they are often referred to as Gemstone on paper. The book ticket is a sign of ownership, so it also shows the collector's own preferences and tastes, and the artist has also developed a wealth of themes for the book ticket. This book ticket has no ex libris markings, but has Erroll Hay on the lower center panel. Earl of Erroll is a Scottish nobility title derived from the Hay family in 1453. This library book should have belonged to a certain Hay family earl in the 19th century.
