1973: Born in Fangyuan Township, Changhua County, Taiwan.
1988: Studied jade carving techniques in Taipei.
1993: Pursued advanced studies in Advertising Design, integrating design concepts into his work.
1994: Established his own studio.
2000: Awarded Honorable Mention in the Craft category at the 14th Sinying Art Exhibition for his work "Ready to Strike."
August: Participated in a joint jade exhibition at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall.
2001: Invited to the Hualien International Art Festival for live carving in the local creation area.
2002: Selected award in the "Dream of Craftsmanship" category at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition. January: Joint jade exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau.
May: Joint exhibition of Sannai Stone and Jade at the Changhua County "Flower and Tree Carnival."
October-December: Invited by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and Hualien Cultural Affairs Bureau for the "Stone Garden" exhibition, held in department stores across northern, central, and southern Taiwan.
2003: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Scenery" at the "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition" in the Presidential Office.
2004: March-June: Featured in the National Education Radio's "Arts and Humanities Corridor - Hsieh Chung-Jen Jade Carving Exhibition."
Selected award in the "Dream of Craftsmanship" category at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition.
October 2004 - January 2005: Solo exhibition at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
2005: Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice."
June-September: Participated in the "Faces of Sherlock Holmes Exhibition" in exchange with the National Museum of the Czech Republic.
Established the "Yu Ning Shi" brand and opened counters in department stores.
Mid-December: Exhibited at the Pacific Sogo Department Store's "Craft Master" exhibition.
2007: Invited to participate in the "Craftsmanship Zero Distance - Application of Living Crafts" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery.
2008: His work "Japanese Style Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute.
2012: Awarded an Honorable Mention in the Traditional Craft category for his work "Half-Thought" at the Ministry of Culture and National Taiwan Craft Research Institute's R&D Center "Taiwan Craft Competition." Received an Honorable Mention in the Craft category for his work "Quiet Mountain Landscape" at the 21st Tainan City "Sinying Award."
2013: Exhibited at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in the "Cross-Strait Jade Carving Exchange Masters Gathering," invited to showcase in the Taiwanese Jade Master area.
2016: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit at the Presidential Office Gallery in the "Gathering Around the Fire—Sustainable Craft Exhibition," featuring his works "Japanese Style Sushi," "Handmade Mochi," and "A Moment of Leap."
2017: His work "Remnant Lotus Spring Scenery" received an Honorable Mention at the Taoyuan City Taoyuan Fine Arts Exhibition.
2018: Held the solo exhibition "Hsieh Chung-Jen Jade Carving 30 Years—Continuation of Culture" at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall.
2019: January-June: Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Presenting Treasures" at the Presidential Office Gallery in the "Feast · Happiness" exhibition.
2020: Featured in the "Joyful Heart, Shining Art—Taiwan Craft Development Association Boutique Exhibition," held jointly from July 29 to August 16, 2020, at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau and from October 6, 2020, to February 28, 2021, at the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center's Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch.
2021: His work "Japanese Style Sushi" was exhibited in the "Creative Regeneration Green Craft" exhibition organized by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center from October to November.
His work "Handmade Mochi" was selected for the 2021 Taiwan Craft Competition and toured various locations, including the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center's Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Store, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Ximen Store, and Taichung Store.
