|░ Why We Love Jadeite ░|
Jade nourishes the body for three years, and the body nourishes jade for a lifetime.
Crystals have a powerful energy field, but they require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, possesses a gentle and soft nature. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally clean and pure, bringing only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered within jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI[Si2 O6], often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Essentially the same as green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with calcium also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a crucial regulator of human life activities, playing a vital physiological role throughout all stages of growth and development, from childhood to adulthood and old age. It is an indispensable macronutrient essential for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it independently and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with Type 2 diabetes, it can enhance insulin sensitivity. It is beneficial for overweight individuals in managing cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Those experiencing high stress lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly important for these individuals.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adult bodies contain approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macronutrient essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, complementing calcium's role. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so a deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation and is associated with the onset of many chronic diseases, particularly increasing the mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, which has relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it an essential trace element. The adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with six to seven-tenths distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron's assistance to function smoothly.
Medical research indicates that jadeite possesses significant therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Relieving Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate this common symptom. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" (Dragon's Gate) and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Continuous massage can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the functions of "clearing middle-warmer heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five Zang organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and improving vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the balanced coordination of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, comes into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite are thus absorbed into the body, nourishing the skin and giving women a fairer and more radiant appearance.
Cooling down: Jadeite's cool properties offer therapeutic relief from the heat. During the Tang Dynasty, Consort Yang was known to hold jade in her mouth to cool down during the summer. Since then, summer has become associated with refreshing coolness. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to combat the summer heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason, is its inexplicable mood-healing effect when feeling down or stressed, providing a sense of comfort.
