Recently, as Atelier Le Tour, we have been making a series of works called "A Small Story", which are made by simply setting cabochon-cut stones, as a return to our roots. This time, we made a ring that combines kyanite and brass. This stone is characterized by a deep blue color that resembles the earth seen from space. It has the effect of eliminating dependency and dependence, promoting independence and curiosity, liberation from fixed ideas, and helping the owner establish a worldview. It also seems to be useful for clearly organizing ambiguous things, including reality. "Brass" This metal is a mixture of copper and zinc. When new, it shines like gold, but over time, it becomes darker due to the influence of the components in the air, causing a phenomenon called "sulfurization". By "sulfurizing", the piece changes to a calm atmosphere like an antique, and it is a luxurious metal in a sense that you can enjoy two faces of brass, one shiny and one calm. If you are concerned about the darkening or dullness of brass, you can polish it with commercially available brass polishing agents to restore its original shine. You can also prevent darkening by storing it in a sulfurization prevention bag for everyday storage, or by storing it with sulfurization prevention chips in a sealable bag. In the summer, blue marks or black spots may appear on your fingers due to sweat or moisture, but please rest assured that there is no adverse effect if you wash it. This metal contains a lot of copper, so people with metal allergies may need to be careful.
