Artist's Introduction: Clay is the softest, most shared memory deep within everyone's heart. It's the closest friend, allowing us to express ourselves freely, molding it as we please. With both parents being ceramic artists, growing up surrounded by the studio, "eating dirt" felt like a natural part of life.
Tea culture is a vital aspect of Chinese heritage, but the demanding pace of modern life makes it challenging to experience its charm. In fact, many classical arts, such as calligraphy and the art of ink, are gradually being forgotten or overlooked by younger generations. Yet, these are invaluable treasures unique to China. Our aesthetic education, from childhood, might be heavily influenced by foreign trends, favoring modern, bold designs and colors. I am particularly drawn to the freedom of ink. Despite its monochrome palette, it can convey a myriad of expressions through variations in density, depth, and the dynamic flow of lines. By merging Chinese tea culture with the art of ink, I aim to attract young people to explore these traditions in a way they find appealing and beautiful, demonstrating that they can indeed be a stylish endeavor.
Ceramic Care and Maintenance:
Any impact or vibration can cause structural damage. While breakage may not be immediate, the piece could fracture during subsequent handling or use, so please exercise caution.
When using tea ware, avoid sudden temperature changes by alternating between hot and cold water. Before the first use, rinse with clean water and then scald with hot water, or sterilize and dry in a standard dish dryer.
Should any damage occur after use, please contact the seller for assistance with repairs or appraisal. If the damage is determined to be due to improper use, you will be responsible for the repair costs.
