It can get wet, but it's best to keep it dry as much as possible to slow down oxidation. The bright gold color will gradually turn into a bronze-coffee hue as it oxidizes. ▴ For slight oxidation, gently brush with toothpaste and water, or use a brass polishing cloth. For severe oxidation, you can purchase brass polish from a hardware store.
