This RED TORNADO denim is a reproduction of the 1980s American 517 model, featuring 15oz pure cotton denim in a classic original blue hue, dyed with 100% Indigo for natural fading. Despite its 15oz weight, the fabric feels surprisingly soft to the touch. The fit has been comfortably updated from the original 517, transitioning from a low rise to a mid-high rise and offering a more relaxed hip circumference. Through continuous refinement of the washing process, our team has achieved a unique finish: hand-applied whiskering, stone-washed distressing, and three prominent distressed areas, each reinforced with a patch of a different colored lining.
