One of the tea utensils used in the Sencha tea ceremony, this is a vessel used to cool the water used to brew tea.
I made this using my experience learning Ogawa-ryu Sencha. The simple design and color of this yuzamashi makes it easy to match with other teacups and pouring tools. It fits comfortably in your hand and drains water very well. If you pour boiled water into the yuzamashi and let it cool before brewing tea, you will get soft and delicious tea.
You can enjoy watching the depth of the color increase as you use it.
