[Bronze wrapped flower vase] Custom made to order, each color and size is slightly different Dimensions: 13.5 x 6 x 12.5 cm Materials: Bronze, Bronze, Linen, glass test tubes I recently completed a new piece based on the work I created during the House Object exhibition. Inspired by the process of folding paper, I sought to imbue the metal with the lightness of paper, imitating the concave shape of the paper. The top edge is secured with delicate stitching. At first glance, it resembles leather or paper, but when you actually pick it up, you can feel its solid weight and texture. The edges are finished with the finishing technique traditionally used when forging objects, and the delicate hammer marks add layers and detail to the Bronze. The surface is smoked, with layers of overlapping colors, like the traces of time, with a warm luster, and the play of light and shadow reveals rich depth and texture. I finished this vase just a week ago, taking advantage of a rare day of sunlight to capture it. Unexpectedly, it was sold at a market. It's a special feeling, like the work met the right person at the right moment, an understanding and encounter that requires no words.
