Because it is woven on shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, there are inevitably "weaving flaws," which may initially appear as "frays." While these are unavoidable with the use of old machinery, we make every effort to minimize them through thorough inspections at the factory and careful cutting of the fabric, using them in less conspicuous areas when found. However, due to the nature of the machinery, they cannot be entirely eliminated.
