|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"A person nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures a person for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is known for its gentle and soft properties. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, exerting only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 types of minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate (NaAl[Si2O6]), often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with calcium also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of human life activities, playing a crucial physiological role throughout all stages of growth and development, from youth to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an indispensable macromineral for maintaining human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and helping regulate blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it independently and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity. For those who are overweight, it aids in controlling cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Chromium is lost at a faster rate in individuals experiencing high stress, making these three groups particularly in need of it.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adults typically contain about 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both working synergistically. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so its deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation in the body and is associated with the occurrence of many chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, which has relatively higher levels of calcium and magnesium, have lower mortality rates from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research indicates that jadeite possesses significant therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate and even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate this common symptom. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest. Through continuous massage, it can achieve a root-cause resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have properties that "clear middle-Jiao heat, moisten the heart and lungs, nourish hair, benefit the five zang organs, calm the spirit, promote blood circulation, and improve hearing and vision."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions of the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body through this contact, nourishing women's skin and making them appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Relief: The icy coolness of jadeite is soothing and provides relief from the heat. During the Tang Dynasty, Concubine Yang would hold jade in her mouth to cool down during summer. Since then, summer has become a time of refreshing coolness. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to relieve heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, more anecdotal reason, is that when feeling down or stressed, gazing at jadeite can bring an inexplicable sense of comfort, as if receiving solace.
