When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy, making regular cleansing essential. It is recommended to establish a routine for cleansing your crystals, perhaps on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for cleansing crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. While cleansing with saltwater is often mentioned, some crystals and metals can be delicate and may be harmed by salt or water, so Joyce personally advises against this method. If you have white/purple crystal chips, geodes, or clusters, you can place your crystals directly on or within them when not wearing them. Of course, the cleansing chips, geodes, and clusters themselves should also be cleansed regularly, for instance, by sun exposure or moonlight. Joyce finds __smudging__ to be the most effective method! You can light sage, dried cedar leaves, dried mugwort, or incense sticks and **use the smoke for purification**.
