Delicate Bracelet with Mizo Carnelian, Karen Silver & Shan Silver, and Indian Blue-Green Beads

A delicate bracelet strung with Mizo carnelian, Karen silver & Shan silver, and Indian blue-green beads. The orange beads are Mizo carnelian, passed down from the 18th century, originating from the Mizoram state in eastern India. Their uneven coloring gives them a wonderfully expressive quality. Please note, as they are antique, they bear some minor scratches. The rich, deep hues are truly captivating. (Mizo Carnelian size: 0. cm width, 0.7 cm diameter) The blue-green beads are old Indian seed beads, their worn texture a testament to years of wear, offering a unique charm reminiscent of the 19th-20th centuries. Their lustrous, irregular shapes and color variations are quite appealing. (Seed bead size: 3mm) A blue-green bead accenting the clasp is an antique 'Indo-Pacific bead', with origins tracing back to the 2nd century BCE. This particular bead is an archaeological find from Indonesia, dating back an astonishing 1000 years to around the 10th century! Alternating between circular Shan old silver and bun-shaped Karen silver beads, this piece is strung together. Each Shan old silver bead is handcrafted, resulting in a unique, imperfect charm. The exact age is unknown, but they possess a well-loved, aged aesthetic. (Shan old silver size: 0.3 cm diameter, 0.15 cm thickness) The golden beads are old Orissa brass, a rare and antique find from the Orissa state of India. The charm near the clasp is also old brass from India. Small beads around the loop and the clasp are Karen silver. ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by a hill tribe dwelling in Thailand and Burma. Each piece is handmade and is said to have a very high purity. Connected with waxed cord, it may feel slightly stiff initially but will become supple with wear.
