We love and appreciate the unique characteristics of natural fibers, as renewable resources hold great significance for us. We primarily use hemp and bark fibers from the Himalayan region, along with wool from New Zealand. Our dyes are derived from the natural beauty gifted by the earth – roots, bark, nuts, leaves, flowers, and mineral pigments extracted from plants. The Opportunity and Connection of Cross-Border Collaboration: Nepal has a long history of craftsmanship, and travelers highly praise the local arts and the skills of its artisans. However, traditional crafts are widely being forgotten as they don't align with modern economic models. Therefore, we collaborate with artisans in Nepal, supporting local communities and encouraging traditional craft techniques by offering fair wages. We integrate our design concepts for Perch on a fair trade basis, whether locally or internationally.
