When new, the surface of Pueblo leather feels dry, but it feels soft to the touch. It has a rich look and is attractive when new, but the aging that appears with use makes it a wonderful leather.
Both Buttero and Pueblo are tanned with 100% vegetable tannins, which preserves the texture of the leather. Because they are dyed with transparent dyes, you may see stripes or lines that are proof of the cow's life, such as scars or bloodlines.
