Firewood firing is the quintessence of ancient ceramic firing techniques. It mainly uses wood as fuel. It takes 3 to 7 days for firing, which is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and requires the accumulation and inheritance of experience. The burnt ashes and the marks left by the fire on the broken body form a natural beauty. Each piece is a unique work of art.
The success or failure of the work depends on the natural relationship between "earth, fire, firewood and kiln".
Wood burning can be roughly divided into unglazed and glazed. Unglazed means that the adobe is fired directly, showing the most rustic texture of wood burning; what you can see is the self-rhythm in the simplicity
Glaze firing is the effect of adding glaze, and the works produced by the fusion of glaze and interlaced firing through fire are even more varied.
In addition to the artistic value of natural beauty, wood burning can make the water softer and the tea drink sweeter due to the attachment of natural carbon during firing.
