Vintage, 1960-1970s ZHUCHOK DYNAMO POCKET FLASHLIGHT ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!) Most common flashlights for backpacking in USSR were very simple devices. No any headlamps or powerful flashlights were available and Soviet people had the choice between simple electrical flashlights, candles, fire torches and darkness... batteries for those torches also were hard-to-find goods. But it was very special kind of torches with dynamo inside, known as ZHUCHOK lamp. Zhuchok = tiny beedle on Russian, because such torches had very special sound whn it were driven. ITEM'S CONDITION: USED, TESTED, WORKING The flashlight was used before, stored in good conditions and still in good working condition. I added some lubricating into mooving parts to provide smooth working. You can see the crack on the glass, it does not impact on usage. Fragile bakelite have no any cracks. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Brand: ZIP, it was a military plant at Krasnodar city which produced metering devices. * Model: Zhuchok. * Very common construction produced in USSR in during long years. * Good quality reflector and genuine glass makes nice optical system. * Bakelite body, usual for 1950-1960s years. * Main bulb is 2.5Vx0.15A. * No any battery is inside, just the dynamo driven by user's hand. * Special lock for dynamo's lever drives the torch more compact. * Dimensions: 135 x 60 x 48 mm. * Weight (without battery): 0.22 kg. * Made in USSR at Krasnodar city in 1960-1970s. * Nice item for old flashlight collectors.
