European leather typically has fewer scars and imperfections, offering superior quality and a generally higher price point compared to American leather. • Genuine leather, much like human skin, may naturally exhibit occasional scratches, scars, or growth lines. We strive to minimize their presence during the crafting process. │ Leather Characteristics │ • Slight variations in color depth between batches are natural. Vegetable-tanned leather deepens in color with use, gradually developing a caramel hue over time. • Like human skin, natural leather has pores. It will absorb moisture, and slight water marks may appear after air-drying, which is a natural phenomenon. The piece is finished with a conditioning oil to help reduce susceptibility to moisture or stains. • Avoid prolonged water immersion. If the leather gets wet, allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. • Light surface dirt can be gently wiped with a clean cotton cloth. Deep oil stains are difficult to remove and will naturally fade over time. Handle with care and embrace the character they add! │ Leather Dyeing │ • Our series retains the distinct brushstroke marks of hand-dyeing. Through repeated testing, we've achieved our most satisfying color tones and ratios, making each piece truly unique. • Dyed items will not typically fade unless intentionally rubbed. However, the natural characteristic of vegetable-tanned cowhide means color saturation may decrease over extended periods. • Undyed leather is close to beige and will deepen in color and show marks based on individual usage and habits, much like a diary recording our life stories. │ Leather Care │ • Frequent use is the best form of care, allowing the natural oils from your hands to nourish the leather. If the edges feel dry, apply a leather conditioning oil. • When storing, keep in a dry place.
