Autumn and winter are probably everyone's favorite seasons (at least mine XD) – you can wear coats, hats, and scarves. Scarves are definitely my favorite autumn/winter accessory. Even though I already have many in my wardrobe, I still buy them every year! Ever since I fell into the vintage rabbit hole, besides bags and small accessories, I also keep an eye out for scarves. This is because vintage designs are more timeless, and the price is invariably cheaper than modern styles... However, it's unfortunate that finding a vintage scarf in good condition and with good color is actually much harder than finding a bag! After all, textiles are harder to maintain than leather. Therefore, I can only acquire a few vintage scarves each year... So, if you're looking for a vintage scarf, seize the opportunity when you find one, as it's almost impossible to find the same style/color again.
⚐⚑˒˒ This is an Italian-made pure wool shawl scarf. It's lightweight with good quality wool, not too thick, making it suitable for the weather in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Made in Italy, it's also reversible with two colors: khaki and deep blue. It can be worn on either side! These cool tones are versatile for anyone, regardless of gender! The entire scarf features a full pattern of the Arc de Triomphe. It is a pre-owned item but in good condition. This particular scarf has a few tiny hole imperfections, but they are very small and unnoticeable when worn around the neck. Due to these minor flaws, the price is particularly affordable. It is perfectly usable and the imperfections are not apparent. Apart from the small holes, the entire scarf is free from snags, loose threads, discoloration, or pilling issues. It retains its original CELINE tag. As everyone knows, standard brand scarves are not inexpensive, and CELINE no longer offers such simple styles in special colors. Each scarf is one-of-a-kind, and once sold, it will not be restocked. The availability of scarves is truly limited each year... if you like it, act fast!

The main reason I love pre-owned bags is that the leather quality from past eras is superior to that of current new releases. Most pre-owned items from the past were handmade, imbued with the warmth of craftsmanship before mass production. The artisan skills of major brands are many times more meticulous than machines; every step is exquisitely detailed! However, today, most processes are mechanized, followed by manual assembly. Machine-made parts lack the same level of detail. The most direct way to see this is to compare the intricate patterns of newly released re-issue monogram designs with authentic vintage ones. The level of detail in the monogram alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you must seek out pre-owned items! Truly!
In terms of style, older designs were generally simpler, timeless, and enduring. Many new designs today are actually re-interpretations of old ones. However, new models are priced higher than vintage ones. Furthermore, new designs are typically based on old designs with added or altered elements, resulting in more complex designs than their predecessors. As we grow older, we all understand one thing: simplicity endures the longest!!
The raw material quality of older pieces is undeniably better than newer ones. Anyone knowledgeable about leather can see that the materials used in new items are generally inferior to those in vintage pieces. This is mainly because the cost and availability of high-quality raw materials are very high today, coupled with the fact that brands in the past had very high standards for their finished products. The most obvious difference between new and old can be seen in the hardware. Many new pieces' hardware oxidizes and discolors after just a year or two of use, but vintage pieces rarely do. This is not only due to the use of premium materials and meticulous techniques but also because hardware from earlier eras was often plated with real 18k gold! Therefore, even bags produced in the 60s and 70s still have gleaming hardware today! Among the brands I know, none of the new bags currently available feature 18k gold hardware.
Many say that vintage bags are a unique form of investment; they rarely depreciate and often appreciate in value. This is because the number of pre-owned bags in good condition in the market is dwindling, with fewer available each day. Consequently, prices only increase. Moreover, certain brands periodically adjust their prices, and each increase drives up the pre-owned market value. With the recent trend of Japanese and Korean celebrities using vintage bags, the price of a style can skyrocket once a celebrity is seen with it. Alternatively, when a brand releases its own revamped version or re-issue, the price of the same or similar styles will increase dramatically! Therefore, vintage is truly a case of "buy early, enjoy longer; buy late, pay more" (this is not an advertising slogan... it's a truth in the vintage world...). This is based on personal experience; I regret not entering the vintage world sooner for many collections, as I can no longer find them, or if I do, the astronomical price makes them unattainable...
As a complimentary gift with pre-owned bag orders, you will receive leather care oil (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ), which I personally use. It will be given in a small, divided container. Apply a small amount to genuine leather for cleaning and to enhance its luster, but it's not necessary after every use; periodic application is sufficient. I usually take the opportunity to care for them when I organize my wardrobe at the change of seasons (which makes seasonal tidying a major undertaking... |||). The leather of pre-owned bags is inherently excellent. As long as they are not used roughly and are stored properly, they can easily last for another ten years and be passed down to your daughter! I collect every pre-owned bag because I love it, so I hope you will cherish it too and preserve it for years to come ☪︎ *.。
