🌙 About Iolite
Iolite is said to have been known as the "Viking's Compass" in Norse culture. In high-latitude regions, the sky is often overcast with extremely low visibility. Legend has it that when Vikings were on long sea voyages, they would lose their way due to continuous cloudy weather or dense fog that obscured the sun. They then used iolite in place of a compass, cutting it into thin slices to act as a polarizing filter, helping them determine the sun's position during their voyages and navigate successfully. Seafarers believed this magical gemstone, which emanates a blue light and can see through directions, could dispel fog and reveal the blue sky, thus regarding it as a talisman for their journeys.
Symbolism of Iolite:
➤ Stabilizes emotions and relieves stress
➤ Aids in breaking bad habits
➤ Enhances insight and intuition
➤ Promotes balance of mind, body, and spirit
➤ Brings good luck and reduces the chances of "going the wrong way"
