Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a highly popular material for jewelry. It is affordable and does not fade. However, like silver, brass can oxidize. Rain, sweat, and air can cause its color to deepen. While some appreciate this natural patina, to prevent it, regular care is advised: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ When not wearing, store in a resealable bag. If the luster appears dull, a few simple methods can help restore your item to its original shine. Please note that if the surface is scratched, while the color can be restored, the shine may not be fully recovered (the matte, antique bronze finish of vintage pieces is also beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and brush gently, similar to brushing your teeth, to restore the brass's luster. Ensure to dry thoroughly after rinsing. ♦ Wipe with a silver polishing cloth for a quick return to shine (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Squeeze lemon juice, dilute it, soak the brass jewelry for about 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its luster (not suitable for natural stones like pearls that are sensitive to acid).
