Hand-poured by artisans at a traditional paper mill in Puli, Taiwan, each sheet is then screen-printed, resulting in a stunning, scattered gold effect. Beautifully auspicious couplets, selected by us, are semi-hand-gilded by Taiwanese craftspeople, using locally sourced gold leaf. What is Wannian Red: Wannian Red paper undergoes a special surface treatment to resist fading, hence its name. It can be produced through traditional handmade methods or machine manufacturing. While its fade-resistant quality is highly valued, the primary drawback of Wannian Red is its thinness, making it prone to tearing. Improvements in the "Luxury Edition Couplets": The "Mei Hao Yi Ri" studio has ingeniously mounted the thin Wannian Red paper onto a sturdy 240g eco-friendly red cardstock, significantly enhancing the durability and resilience of the couplets! You'll be amazed by how firm this Wannian Red Xuan paper can be! Adhesion Tips: 1. We recommend using double-sided fabric tape for a residue-free application and a smooth finish. 2. Experienced users might opt for rice paste, which can be easily washed off the wall the following year. 3. Please avoid using regular double-sided tape or foam tape, as they can be extremely difficult to remove and may damage your walls. 4. Height: Position the top of the first character slightly above eye level. 5. For single doors, keep the two couplets close together (about 1-2 cm apart). 6.
