This wheel-thrown guinomi/sake cup was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration.
This pot was made from local Taiwanese clay. This pot was wood-fired for 4 days. The natural wood ash and clear glaze worked together to create this original pot.
While trimming, I cut away the clay away in a vertical fashion to give the pot a nice feel when you hold it. I believe a handmade pot needs to show the hand of the maker. It is this connection that makes a handmade item unique.
My seal is stamped at the base of this pot.
Be the owner of a handmade guinomi/sake cup made from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about my work.
