Pomegranate Tanned Leather Mini Pouch granada 2

This is a renewal production of "granada" which has been produced and sold since 2009. Older designs are also for sale. When I was a student, I once traveled through Andalusia in Spain as a backpacker. On the way there, we stopped in the city of Granada. "Granada" is the name of the city where the Spanish Alhambra is located, and it means "pomegranate" in Spanish. As the name suggests, the city of Granada has designs with pomegranate motifs everywhere, such as signboards, coats of arms, cobblestones and streetlights. The trip to find pomegranates, which were familiar even in Japan, while walking was particularly impressive during my month-long trip to Spain. Andalusia is full of sunlight in August. The scattered pomegranates in the old townscape colored with strong shadows are strongly imprinted in my heart. I tried to capture such memories in this work. □Material: Vegetable tanned cowhide (domestic oil leather) □ Size: Body diameter about 70 mm □ Lightness: about 40 grams □ Color: Vermilion red A round coin case where you can enjoy the texture of oil-tanned leather tanned with vegetable tannin. [I made a shape with the shape of a paper balloon as a hint] The small parts are carefully cut out one by one and sewn into a three-dimensional shape. Sewing is done inside out to bring out the rounded design. Even a slight irregularity in the width of the seam margin will affect the quality of the shape, so sew carefully. [The zipper uses a high-quality zipper from YKK, which Japan boasts] Everything is done by hand, from cutting out the fasteners to assembling. I arranged leaf-shaped leather for the handle.
