Broken or chipped ceramics that are no longer in use are upcycled and transformed into accessories with Kintsugi. The concept behind these pieces is to bring the natural world and Japan's enduring traditions closer to people, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and create new possibilities. Deep green fragments with a bluish tint are paired with freshwater pearls. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the pottery fragments, so the gold accents are visible from the side, adding an elegant touch. These can be worn as a focal point for both casual and elegant outfits. This work is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses tree sap from the lacquer tree, this method uses adhesive for the bonding itself.
