【Ben Shan Green Clay】
This green clay originates from the Huanglong Mountain vein in Dingshu, Yixing. It is a superior grade within the larger category of Duan clay.
Unlike the common "Ben Shan Duan" clay, this raw mineral contains no purple clay components and has a lower iron oxide content.
Consequently, it has very few black particles after firing and matures into a ceramic of varying shades of yellow.
Green clay appears only occasionally within the mineral layers, making its yield extremely limited.
Raw Ore Appearance:
The raw ore presents as a dense, light grayish-green, slightly hard block.
Fired Color: After firing, it becomes a creamy yellow. The clay body is densely packed with black sandy particles, resulting in a lustrous and smooth surface with a rich color effect.

【Frequently Asked Questions QA】
1. How to prepare the pot before first use?
Clean the inside and outside thoroughly. A kitchen sponge is recommended; avoid chemical cleaners. Simply rinse with water, and it's ready for use.
2. How to care for the pot?
After use, keep it clean and dry to prevent tea stains. Store in a well-ventilated area. For long-term storage in its box, allow it to air dry naturally for 1-2 months to fully evaporate moisture from the pores, which prevents mold.
3. How to clean tea stains or mold?
Soak with an enzyme cleaner.
4. How to properly warm the pot?
During cold weather or after a long period of disuse, pour 40°C warm water over the inside and outside of the pot, then fill it. This allows the purple clay's pores to absorb moisture fully.
5. How to maintain pots with engravings?
For pots with engraved designs, cleaning with a soft brush is recommended.
6. What if the item is damaged during shipping?
Yan Huang Da Di Art assumes full responsibility for shipping safety. If any damage occurs, please contact customer service immediately.
