Buddhist altar and prayer

I want to put it in the living room, so I want something that matches the other furniture. It is best to have something that does not look like a Buddhist altar at first glance. Not a big one, but something compact. Over the past few years, as we have received inquiries from customers about Buddhist altars, the three requests above are the most common. What we would like to introduce this time is the "Inori" Buddhist altar, a unique design that is slightly different in style from some of the standard styles of ZEROSSO's previous Buddhist altars. The left and right side panels and the top panel are carved in a wavy pattern with a concave center. The front and back corners of each surface are at different heights, creating three undulating curves. This creates a dynamic impression with a sense of movement. The bottom board has an angled cut on all sides, front, back, left and right, and no feet are attached; the bottom board serves as the base. The door is made of homemade plywood with a core sandwiched between solid wood and is supported by brass hinges. The inverted S-shaped joint bulges towards the bottom, and there is a groove at the bottom where you can hook your finger to open it. I scattered dots to create an image of space. I filled the dots to make them clearer, but some are recessed and some are flush, which also creates variation. The left and right doors have magnets at the top so they close tightly. The material used is walnut, which gives off a calm, dark, and luxurious feel. The brass hinges will tarnish over time, but this blends in with the natural changes in the wood and looks good. They will shine when polished, but the tarnished look also adds a certain charm. When you open the double doors, there is a single altar inside. It is not fixed in place, it is just there. Generally, the principal image and memorial tablet are placed on top of the altar, and Buddhist implements, personal belongings, photographs, etc. are placed in front of it. Each sect has its own rules, but it is important that it is a place where you can comfortably pray every day, so we recommend that you arrange it with whatever you like. The back of the altar, at the back of the altar, is made up of three boards, with the central board protruding about 3mm forward. It is a design that focuses on the center. The other side of this back panel is the back of the altar. The back side is also beautifully finished, so you can place it in a place where the back is visible. I used oil urethane for the finish. It is more water resistant than oil, but it is not perfect, so if it gets wet, wipe it off as soon as possible. The large, gorgeous Buddhist altars that have been around for a long time are no longer suited to modern life, where there is no room for a Buddhist altar. However, it is also true that many people still want to have a Buddhist altar, and want to place it somewhere close to home, such as the living room. One option to respond to such hopes is prayer.
