Adult literacy education was launched to improve the situation of people who had no access to education and whose only job option was street cleaning. Over time we also offer vocational training, offering free training courses in knitting, carpet weaving and carpentry. We also run individual production projects, provide workplaces for those who complete our courses, and use the proceeds to run primary schools, day care centers and children's homes. 210 children receive free education in primary schools run with proceeds, and 16 children live in children's homes. There is also a nursery for professional craftswomen. Hand knitting work can be done at home, providing women with children and college students a valuable opportunity to earn an income while balancing childcare and schoolwork. People Tree and KTS jointly provide vocational training and design support. The partnership with People Tree has brought significant changes to KTS.
