While linen weaving, as handled by Pint! conventionally, is quite common, linen knitting is seldom seen. This is a long-sleeved pullover made from 100% linen knit. Though it's linen, its knit construction offers a novel sensation of lightness and softness that gently envelops the body. Unlike the crisp, loosely woven knits, this piece is comfortable due to the softness achieved by knitting fine-gauge yarn. The double-layered construction makes it less sheer and provides a comfortable, cocooning feel. Using European linen, each piece is meticulously knitted in Yamagata over time. By employing single yarns—yarns without twisting—the inherent characteristics of the linen thread are brought forth, showcasing a commitment to material from the very start of the knitting process. The company's expertise, originally honed in producing knitwear for collection brands, is evident in this exceptionally high-quality craftsmanship. The double-layered construction ensures it is not sheer while fitting gently against the body. Linen often evokes an image of stiffness, but this is typically with woven fabrics.
